MED Radiology&DiagnosticImaginCompetition No. - A104447289Closing Date - Feb 04, 2022The Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry at the University of Alberta is pleased to invite applications from academic radiologists for a tenure-track position in the area of ‘Imaging in Precision Health’. Applications from qualified radiologists with proven expertise in the areas of AI and Machine Learning (ML) are welcome. The Faculty seeks expertise that complements its existing strengths. The successful candidate will initiate, lead, and collaborate in research activities, compete for external research funding, contribute to the Department’s undergraduate and graduate programs, including teaching and assisting with administration.The candidate selected is expected to be appointed as a faculty member at the level of assistant professor.The University of Alberta is one of Canada’s top teaching and research universities, with an international reputation for excellence across the health sciences, humanities, sciences, creative arts, business and engineering.   • M.D. with subspecialty expertise and proven training and experience artificial intelligence as it relates to imaging.
  • Eligible for licensure as a radiologist with the College of Physicians and Surgeons Alberta
  • Proven record of high-quality research including successful grant funding
  • Proven record of collaboration in multidisciplinary medical imaging teams
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using AI and ML in health.
  • Strong potential for productive interactions with researchers in medicine and in related disciplines at the University of Alberta
