The Library is a great place to take your career!What do you need to bring to this positionAs the Accounting Manager, you will lead a professional accounting team that supports the leaders and managers of EPL in managing accounting activities. Using industry best practices and working with a variety of stakeholders, you are responsible for planning, budgeting, financial reporting, and accounting for the entire organization. Using your excellent analytical and problem solving abilities, you will analyze costs and revenues, and oversee the development of financial business processes and internal controls. You will also develop financial information used by management in negotiating EPLs Collective Agreement with Civic Service Union 52. You will assign and review the work of staff members, manage staff performance, and foster a positive team environment. As the ideal candidate, you thrive under pressure and are able to work independently in managing work priorities for you and your team. You have a demonstrated ability to think strategically and exercise sound business judgment. Your extensive knowledge of public sector accounting standards and your superior data management and financial modeling abilities will be well used in this position.Qualifications :Related degree from a recognized university combined with a professional accounting designation (i.e. CPA, CMA, CA, CGA). A minimum of 7 years of directly related and progressively responsible financial / accounting experience in a large public sector, institutional or commercial organization, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
