As such, we look for vibrant and hardworking team players that has the ability to maintain strong team cohesion with other departments to anchor to the growth and success of the business.We are now seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist with strong customer service skills that makes our clients feel confident in our high level of service to anchor in our property management division and better integrate internal service enabling the continuous rapid real estate portfolio growth of our Yorkton Equity Group [TSX.V : YEG]. The successful candidate will provide accounts receivable and administrative support to the property management and accounting teams, and must be able to interact and communicate effectively and respectfully with clients and various levels of staff and management. The right candidate will have the opportunity to engage in other property management and property accounting functions to expand the career path.Job Summary:The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for covering a wide variety of duties encompasses processing and posting payments, recording transactions, filing documents, preparing account statements and communicating with tenants by writing or by phone. The successful candidate must have proficiency with Microsoft Office, possess strong interpersonal skills, be capable of handling high work volumes with accuracy, and have excellent customer service.Responsibilities:

  • To establish timely and accurate controls and posting of transactions including rent roll, payment of rents and security deposits received
  • To communicate with tenants to collect on outstanding rent arrears
  • To prepare arrear and eviction notices
  • Bank deposit, EFT and cash handling
  • Account reconciliations
  • Data entry and posting of transactions
  • Document filing & office duties
  • To provide administrative supports to the office operation and other related property management and accounting duties as required.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 2 years of related role in property management.
  • Knowledge of the Alberta Residential Tenancy Act.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Working knowledge of property management and accounting software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a professional business environment.
  • Able to prioritize workload and work well under pressure and independently with a strong sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment to deliver quality results within deadlines
  • Result oriented with a high level of integrity and dependability.
  • Excellent client relationship building skills with a strong focus on exemplary customer service.
  • Strong time management, multi-tasking, problem-solving and people skills.
  • College diploma or certificate in accounting or related discipline.
