Job Description

The Administrative Assistant is a self-starter with strong organization, communication, interpersonal, accounting, and computer skills. Working in a fast-paced, customer and employee-oriented environment, the Executive Assistant is responsible for organizing and coordinating the administrative needs of the Edmonton Regional Office.Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the Edmonton Regional office and Senior Managers with daily administrative tasks
  • Support the Edmonton Regional office and Senior Managers with Data Analysis and Report Creation. Accurately analyze and collect data for various types of business reports for various site locations. which will include operational reporting, employee absenteeism reports, inputting invoices and cost control.
  • Manage customer and employee enquiries in a courteous, expedient, and professional manner
  • Provide support to our operational sites in the AB and BC region,
  • Coordinate recertification training and submit certificates to Safety Centre.
  • Provide support and assist with monthly operational KPI Reports.
  • Coordinate and conducting onboarding sessions for all new hires in the AB and BC region.
  • Provide assistant with site start up support as well as ongoing contractual support
Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
  • Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with people of all backgrounds and levels of comprehension including managers, employees, customers, customers regarding sensitive or confidential issues
  • Ability to work with others to foster a respectful workplace and an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork; create a work environment that is open to maintaining positive relationships
  • Ability to establish rapport with people and influence opinions, attitudes, or judgements
  • Skilled at building, developing, mentoring and leading in a way that promotes the Cando culture and its values of safety, growth, innovation, and employee/customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate ability to work independently, be self-motivated, innovative, and able to be responsible in the decision-making process; ability to think pro-actively and strategically
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, with the skill to adapt easily to other software systems
  • Demonstrated information gathering skills used to find and identify essential information
  • Must be proficient with SAP
  • Must have a flexibility in terms of schedule.
Education & Experience
  • Post-secondary certification in office or business administration an asset
  • 3 - 5 years experience working in either Oil & Gas, Rail Industries or similar industry
  • Experience with onboarding/New Hire presentations.
  • Experience dealing and handling confidential information.
