Job Description

ADMISSION SUPPORT ADMINISTRATORLEARNER EXPERIENCENorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for someone who can find ways forward in providing excellent customer service to applicants, learners, and prospective learners as they navigate the admission functions of the Office of the Registrar and Admissions.Reporting to the Team Lead, Admissions, the Administrator acts a s a primary point of contact in person, electronically, and over the phone to provide superior service and advice with the goal of a one-call resolution. Maintaining a thorough knowledge of NorQuest College policies and procedures, the Administrator responds to front-line inquiries resolving or directing as required.HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Manage Office of the Registrar and Admissions group email accounts. For each email, the Administrator will either respond to the inquiry directly, or triage and categorize the inquiry so that the appropriate team can respond.
  • Respond to live chat, providing excellent information to chatters and forwarding inquiries to other areas as appropriate.
  • Answer the college switchboard phone line, providing excellent information to callers and forwarding calls to other areas as appropriate.
  • Ansser incoming calls for general information with the goal of a one-call resolution perspective.
  • Answer inquiries from students and prospective students, providing appropriate resolution or direct to other services.
  • Assist prospects or students in using self-service kiosks to apply to college programs or access other online services.
  • Assist LINC applicants in group sessions or one-on-one to complete an application for admission.
  • Take ID card photos and distribute student ID cards.
  • Strictly adhere to FOIP legislation by ensuring that all student information is treated with the appropriate level of security and confidentiality and that student or government issued ID and authorizing release of information forms are presented when applicable.
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Post-secondary certificate, diploma preferred - ideally in the area of office or business administration.
  • 1+ years’ experience of related customer service experience. A combination of education and experience can be considered.

  • Knowledge of FOIP.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook); comfortable with other computer applications.
  • Experience working with Student Information System (preferably PeopleSoft) an asset.
SALARY: $43,445 - $56,469 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. Plus, immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
