Your Opportunity:The Database and Operation Services (DOS) advisors are in charge of overseeing and maintaining the two important applications of the data eco-system, which are Informatica Data Integration and Oracle Enterprise Data Warehouse. Users turn to them when they have technical problems, need access, or need advice on best practices. They also oversee and educate users on system policies and standards. They work collaboratively with the IT-DBA or Server team for upgrades, migration, system configuration and all other hardware requirements for the growth and advancement of the two systems.Description:Manage, maintain, and monitor all Informatica services in the development, test, and production environments. Always keep an eye on the application to ensure it is available and performing optimally. Examine CPU workload, memory utilization, inefficient workflow execution, and bottlenecks in the servers regularly. Establish, modify, and delete Informatica user accounts in accordance with the department access standard and the Informatica license contract. Develop user security groups to organize users according to their team roles. Provide assistance to users regarding tool setup and Informatica connectivity issues. Diagnose issues with Informaticas global and ETL solution functions. Perform root cause analysis in conjunction with the client, Unix team, DBA, or Informatica vendor support. If necessary, an Informatica patch or update may need to be applied to the Linux server. If the issue requires further understanding, a simulation may be needed. Ensure that all issues and solutions are documented. Work includes troubleshooting database slow performance, fixing tool defects, analyzing inefficient queries, providing helpful advice for Oracle codes, developing Unix scripts or Oracle stored procedures that improve process flow, upgrading tools, and addressing technical issues reported by users. It may be necessary to collaborate with the IT-DBA or other IT departments to diagnose users technical requirements or issues. Create Oracle schema and grant dataset access to users. Conduct analysis on space and system privileges requirements. Develop access knowledge base for common connection problems and solutions.
