Posting End Date:September 19, 2022Employee Type:Regular-Full timeUnion/Non:This is a non-union positionDo you have experience with sourcing, coordinating and executing procurement of materials and services This role reviews and analyzes material requisitions, prepares and issues request for quotes (RFQ) for operations, projects and other critical initiatives.   • Carries out the complete procurement process from preparing all aspects of competitive bids through to, commercial evaluation, recommendations and purchase order issuance. Ensure compliance with purchasing procedures and that user requirements are met.
  • Investigates and facilitates issue resolution relative to procurement activities as requested.
  • Enable Supply Chain strategic objectives by periodically reviewing and recommending adjustments to processes, systems, and tools.
  • Mentors, guides and trains department staff or end user department personnel as required.
  • Support development of custom/complex contracts, identify costs associated with risks, and develop mitigation plans.
  • Investigates and facilitates issue resolution relative to procurement activities as requested
  • Develop, negotiate and assist in the execution of supplier agreements
Who You Are:
  • 4 or more years of experience within Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
  • Related university degree (Supply Chain Management, Finance or Business Administration).
  • Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) / Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation considered an asset.
  • Proven application of relevant knowledge of Oracle Cloud in normal business situations without use of reference guides/assistance.
  • Proven soft skills in dealing with Stakeholders, Vendors and Peers.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
