We are also part of Heidelberg Cement Group, one of the world’s largest building materials companies.The Alternative Fuels Supervisor is based in Edmonton AB and reports directly to the Edmonton Assistant Plant Manager with dotted line to Alternative Fuels Manager.What you will get to do:

  • Work with plant operations and suppliers to manage and coordinate day-to-day alternative fuel and alternative materials deliveries and inventory.
  • Identify and help to resolve bottlenecks and technical issues that prevent maximum consumption of alternative fuels and materials.
  • Maintain systems to ensure representative samples of alternative fuels and materials are collected, prepared, tested, and tracked and that they comply with specifications.
  • Maintain and prepare alternative fuels and materials consumption trends and reports.
  • Develop health and safety procedures and protocols that relate to the handling and use of alterative fuels and materials and ensure workers and delivery drivers are trained in those procedures.
  • Investigate alternative fuel and material equipment and system improvements and support preparation of capital investment requests.
  • Work with accounting services to reconcile invoices and deliveries.
Who we are looking for:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field, or several years relevant industrial experience.
  • Strong troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
  • SAP experience
Work Environment:
  • Role operates in an office and manufacturing environment with moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise levels, and dusty conditions.
