Job Description

SummaryDougs Place Collision requires an auto body technician - Repairer. We are looking for a motivated individual with an attention to detail to add to our family. Experience with European vehicles is an Asset.Responsibilities and Duties

  • Responsible for metal repair, pull & square, fill & sand, repair & replace, and R&I
  • Check parts for correctness
  • Diagnose & complete repairs in a quality manner following OEM repair Procedures
  • Apply undercoating, corrosion protection, gravel guard, seam sealer, weld thru primer, and lubricants as required.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and cooperate with fellow employees
  • Be proficient at metal straightening, plastic finish work, structural repairing, MIG/MAG welding, resistance welding, bonding & riveting, aluminum welding.
  • Possess practical knowledge of setting up, measuring and straightening full frame and unibody vehicles with computerized equipment.
  • Maintain tools & equipment within department
  • Comply with safety and OHSA standards.
Qualifications and SkillsRequired education:
  • High school or equivalent
Required experience:
  • Repairing: 5 plus years.
Required license or certification:
  • Journeyman Auto body Technician.
  • I-Car training an asset
  • OEM training an asset
  • Experience with Aluminum repairs & procedures an asset.
BenefitsWages: $28 to $35 per hour. Full benefits, RRSP, Boot Allowance.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: $28.00-$38.00 per hourBenefits:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:
  • Edmonton, AB t6e1m6: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
  • auto body repair: 5 years (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
  • Red Seal license (preferred)
