They are proactive in identifying possible obstacles and tend to see a problem as an opportunity.A Business Analyst in the Delivery team works closely with Business System Analysts, Quality Assurance, and various business stakeholders. These team members collaborate to execute on the prioritized projects and system enhancements requested by our stakeholders in the Front, Middle and Back Office teams. The successful candidate will work extensively in capturing and often helping define business requirements across multiple stakeholders, work through data and process gaps, support testing plans and activities across multiple projects, all with the objective of creating optimal value for client groups.Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to identify and translate high level, conceptual user requirements into specific business requirements (features) with attention to detail, and analytical skills to solve problems, research, and perform root cause analysis, to guide development activities
  • Demonstrated experience in a role from which strong operational knowledge, with a view of investment management industry, including experience in front, middle and back office
  • Demonstrated ability to work with and organize all stakeholders in large projects, at all levels.
  • Exposure to a diverse set of investment management products with preference towards OTC Derivatives (Interest Rate, Equity, FX, Volatility etc)
  • Performing root-cause analysis involving detail-oriented, metric driven, problem solving and research skills
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
  • Possesses a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Finance, Business or Project Management
  • Canadian or US Pension industry or finance experience is desirable
  • Knowledge of project management principles, guidelines and methodologies (specifically Scrum and Kanban methodologies)
  • Proficiency with SQL (Oracle and SQL Server), full Microsoft Suite of applications
  • Knowledge of SimCorp Dimension, Charles River, Eagle or Calypso is an asset
  • Embraces a variety of opinions, comfortable with professional debate and collaborates to generate best solutions
  • Passion for continuous learning and excellent team player
  • Strong business acumen and adept at managing multiple, concurrent deadlines and shifting priorities
