Job Description

The Business Analyst II role is to directly participate in the planning, design, development, and launch of efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes. This includes leading work on gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements. The Business Analyst II is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.Major Functions and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the creation and maintenance of comprehensive documentation at the project and product level as directed
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues
  • Coordinate, participate in, and document design sessions and prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
  • Participate in the creation systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
  • Works closely with the IT executive staff and decision makers in other departments in order to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the organization
  • Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications through written documentation to management, peers, staff, and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
  • Generate statistics and prepare and write reports for management and/or team members on the status of the business requirements process
  • Liaise with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to assist in resolving problems with software products or company software systems

Required Experience
  • 4+ years of experience providing analysis for application development using Microsoft technologies including C# .NET, Javascript and SQL Server
  • Familiar with C# .NET, WPF, WCF, SQL Server 2016/17/19, SQL Server Reporting Services, Lab Information Systems, Active Directory, and SQL Server Integration Services
  • Experience working with enterprise applications
  • Experience with core software applications, including Microsoft Office, Visio, and SQL
  • Experience in the operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies and mainframe applications
  • Familiarity with the Health Care industry
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws
Minimum Qualifications
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of business administration, computer science, accounting, or management information systems

  • Flexibility to meet operational requirements including hours of work, location and changes in procedures.
  • As workload demands and operational requirements shift, the location, dates and/or hours of work may be changed
