Newly established and based in British Columbia and Alberta, Crossroads engages in the business of commercial medium and heavy-duty truck financing and leasing. We offer operating and finance leasing as well as direct financing to our commercial customers. Position Overview:The Business Development Manager is responsible for shaping and executing both short and long-term strategic objectives, cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key clients, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, negotiating and closing high-impact deals, and staying ahead of market trends. This role also involves ensuring the continued satisfaction and loyalty of existing clients through proactive management and personalized service.Job Duties:
  • Actively seeks new clients through networking, advertising, cold calling, and other innovative methods to generate interest and expand the client base
  • Identifies and explores new business opportunities by reaching out to potential partners and evaluating emerging prospects
  • Conducts thorough market research to uncover new markets and understand evolving customer needs
  • Represents the company at industry events, such as conferences and association gatherings, to build new connections and strengthen existing client relationships
  • Expands and retains client accounts by presenting tailored solutions and additional services that align with customer goals
  • Provides ongoing support to enhance customer satisfaction and foster long-term relationships
  • Secures new business opportunities by aligning client requirements, crafting proposals, and negotiating contracts
  • Evaluates potential business deals by assessing requirements, financials, and overall feasibility
  • Identifies and capitalizes on sales opportunities to drive revenue growth for the organization
  • Collaborates closely with technical teams and internal departments to meet and exceed customer expectations
  • Ensures customer service standards are effectively communicated and upheld by department personnel
  • Resolves customer issues and provides conflict resolution, ensuring client satisfaction
  • Regularly visits clients to maintain strong, positive relationships and ensure ongoing service excellence
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor #39;s degree from an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution or similar is preferred
  • At least three years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the heavy-duty truck industry
  • Basic understanding of business finance
  • Strong business sense and the ability to make smart decisions
  • Great interpersonal skills with strong communication, both verbal and written
  • Good at negotiating and providing excellent customer service
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable using computers and various software programs
