As a Cardiovascular Perfusionist I, you will collaborate closely with our team of highly skilled cardiovascular anesthesiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, cardiac care professionals, researchers, and educators. Our team is incredibly dynamic and intertwined, providing professional support to one another and understand the magnitude of the work that we do. This position offers you the unique opportunity to work with adult and pediatric programs, as well as to work on the most unique and complex cases. In this position, you’ll be in the seated position for extended periods. You must be able to assist in transporting, lifting, and positioning of patients. You’ll also be required to bend, lift, push, and pull heart lung machine equipment as well as bulky l surgical supplies. As the successful candidate, you’ll come to our team with well-developed communication skills and a talent for creating verbal feedback loops when working with a team. You’ll also be skilled at building trusted relationships in interprofessional teams. You’ll also thrive in a busy environment and be flexible to an ever evolving environment.Description:As a Cardiovascular Perfusionist I, you are responsible for the safe and efficient preparation for and management of cardiopulmonary bypass and related cardiopulmonary support modalities for adult, pediatric and infant patients. You will work in consultation with attending physicians and will administer various anaesthetic and medical gases, other related pharmaceuticals, blood and blood products and various crystalloid solutions.
