As a Cardiovascular Perfusionist I, you will collaborate closely with our team of highly skilled cardiovascular anesthesiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, cardiac care professionals, researchers, and educators. In this position, youll be in the seated position for extended periods. You must be able to assist in transporting, lifting, and positioning of patients. Youll also thrive in a busy environment and be flexible to an ever evolving environment.Description:As a Cardiovascular Perfusionist II, you are responsible for the safe and efficient preparation for and management of cardiopulmonary bypass and related cardiopulmonary support modalities for adult, pediatric and infant patients. You will work in consultation with attending physicians and will administer various anaesthetic and medical gases, other related pharmaceuticals, blood and blood products and various crystalloid solutions. You will provide clinical leadership and supervision to the Perfusionist I, and are responsible for a variety of administrative duties including interviewing and hiring, staff orientation, appropriate training, and evaluation of staff through regular performance appraisals.
