Our employees work in engaged teams, which are present in the lives of our residents where our employees make a difference.The OpportunityHourly Rate of Pay: $20.14 to $25.46Reporting to the Recreation Therapy Manager, the Recreation Attendant contributes in planning, implementing, and evaluating recreation therapy programs to meet the needs of the resident’s goals and interventions. The Recreation Attendant also provides support to residents, their family, and visitors in an environment that enables independence, safety, and high quality care to facilitate resident wellbeing. The Recreation Attendant organizes program content, documents resident attendance and response. The Recreation Attendant ensures all activities are consistent with the policies and procedures of SCF.Consider applying if you have a diploma in Therapeutic Recreation (Gerontology) from a recognized educational institution or equivalent education in a related field; reliable transportation; minimum of one year combined experience working with elderly with dementia in a supportive setting is preferred; can read, write, and speak English fluently; and have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.Who We AreShepherd’s Care Foundation is a mission driven, faith-based, not-for-profit organization providing quality care and accommodations to more than 900 seniors throughout Edmonton and in Barrhead.
