Job Description

OHanlon Paving a proud member of The Fath Group of Companies, has been a key player in the Edmonton, road construction industry for over 65 years. We pride ourselves in the quality of our finished projects, our strong safety culture, and our opportunities for employee development. We are currently looking for an experienced Class 3 Driver/Equipment Operator (water truck, roller, block packer, wobbly) to work seasonally in a full-time capacity, in various locations throughout Edmonton.Responsibilities:

  • Operate equipment and drive the water truck in an efficient & safe manner that is compliant with transportation driving laws.
  • Must be able to perform necessary pre/post trip inspections on vehicles
  • Works with company to ensure safety compliance is adhered to at all times in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety and National Safety Council
  • Attend and contribute to weekly safety toolbox meetings
Qualifications:
  • Must possess a minimum 2 years experience driving commercial trucks.
  • Some experience with parking lots/subdivisions base work will be an asset.
  • Must possess a valid class 3 driver’s license (with air endorsement) with a clean drivers abstract.
  • Minimum High School education or equivalent is required.
  • Pre-Trip & Fatigue Management Experience training is desirable.
  • Ability to work continuously for prolonged periods of time under pressure is required.
  • High attention to detail, strong communication skills and ability to follow directions is required.
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions is required.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity & experience with city driving and surrounding areas is highly desirable.
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends is required.
  • Valid safety certifications are required.
Additional Information:
  • This is a seasonal position.
  • This position is eligible for over-time.
  • Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required.
  • Training will be provided for various activities.
  • We offer excellent wages and benefit eligibility after 3 months with the possibility of continuing your benefits during the winter months (off-season).
  • There is potential for on-call work during the winter months during snow removal and early spring sweeping season.
  • Seasonal work; Long hours; 6-7 days/week at peak season (Weekends as well)
