Reporting to the Manager, Site and Clinical, the Clinical Services Lead (CSL) provides leadership and direction for specific services including assisted living and/or complex care, dementia care, and/or adult day programs. The CSL assists care employees with providing direct nursing care and is responsible for the delivery of safe and effective resident/client care ensuring optimal utilization of available resources. The CSL assumes a leadership role empowering their team to build and maintain a safety culture that pursues leading practices, promotes quality improvement and learning in their unit/department.As the Care Manager, you will provide leadership to the interdisciplinary care team on your unit. You will promote a positive, quality-focused culture that embraces the GSS values of Servant Leadership, Healthy Relationships, and Hospitable Environments. Additional accountabilities include maintaining standards of care, quality improvement and risk management, managing an annual budget and policy/process review. Hiring and coaching staff.You are a respected professional who exemplifies superior customer service and possesses superb problem-solving and communication skills. You are an innovator who is approachable with a strong participative management style, able to work with an interdisciplinary team and able to motivate and coach staff. You have 3 years progressive experience in administration and management/supervisory. A recognized Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and active registration with CARNA or CRNBC is required. Geriatric experience is required and a Gerontological Nursing Certificate is preferred. CPR Level C. Computer skills requird with Microsoft Office Suite, HRMIS and other charting plarforms.Educational Requirements: BScN or equivalent RN in good standing with CARNA (Alberta) First Aid and CPR certificates Gerontological Nursing Certificate (preferred)Work Experience: A minimum of three (3) years management/supervisory experience in a unionized environmentA minimum of three (3) years health related experience, primarily in the long-term care field including dementia/geriatrics or equivalent combination of education, training and experiencekey Accountabilities:Care and Service
