ROLE SUMMARY:Reporting to the Director, Digital Media, the Content Coordinator & Reporter is responsible for reporting on, writing about and creating social media content for all Oilers Entertainment Group brands, including the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club, Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, Edmonton Oilers Alumni, ICE District and Rogers Place.DOES THIS SOUND LIKE YOUWe are seeking an energetic, multi-talented digital content producer to join Oilers Entertainment Group’s NHL-leading digital media team on a temporary maternity leave contract. The Content Coordinator & Reporter will cover all OEG brands and entities, from hosting Oilers TV’s live post-game show after a legendary Battle of Alberta victory, to producing a Hockey Fights Cancer video feature, to reporting on the grand opening of ICE District’s plaza skating rink. The successful candidate will have an established on-camera presence, a passion for storytelling and a love of all things hockey both on and off the ice.This person will thrive in a collaborative environment, working as part of a tight-knit digital media team. Long, unpredictable hours, as well as some evening and weekend work, are no problem for this candidate, given the reward of creating content for one of the top sports and entertainment brands in North America. This person will have an established technical skill-set but will also be eager to grow and learn in an ever-evolving digital media landscape as OEG is committed to fostering meaningful connections with its fans.GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:Reports on camera and edits video content related to the Edmonton Oilers Hockey Club, Edmonton Oilers Community Foundation, Edmonton Oilers Alumni, ICE District and Rogers PlaceHosts and produces a marquee video series titled “Around The Rink” encompassing the off-ice, lifestyle, charitable and community-driven initiatives of the above-mentioned OEG brandsCo-hosts the Oilers In Depth Podcast alongside fellow Oilers TV digital reporterHosts live in-bowl intermission reports, Oilers TV post-game shows and OEG special eventsCollaborates with OEG’s Social Media Manager on made-for-social video contentWrites articles for EdmontonOilers.com, RogersPlace.com, IceDistrict.com and HockeyHelpsKids.comEDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:Post-secondary degree or diploma in broadcasting, journalism, digital media or related field2-3 years of experience in digital media, specifically video production and on-camera reportingSelf-motivated, multi-faceted digital content producer with excellent attention to detailWell-versed in video editing on Adobe Premiere Pro with After Effects and Photoshop experienceExperience hosting live video programming with a proven ability to adapt and improviseExperience creating made-for-social video content with TikTok proficiency an assetExperience writing articles and working within a website content management systemExperience hosting and producing a podcast an assetEffective communicator who builds employee relationships and provides support to key stakeholders to ensure achievement of OEG goals and objectivesAbility to work under time pressures while maintaining a positive attitudeAbility to work long, unpredictable hours on evenings, weekends and holidaysMust possess a valid passport for potential travel outside of CanadaQuick Apply
