Job Description

Our client, a midstream company, is looking for a Contract Specialist to work on a 12-month contract in Edmonton, AB.The Contract Specialist is responsible for drafting and, where appropriate, reviewing agreements including customer sales contracts, contract amendments, supplier purchase, and sale agreements, and confidentiality and consultant agreements as well as responding to customer request for proposals (RFPs). Works closely with company sales, service, and sourcing teams as well as customers, business managers, and attorneys.Mains Responsibilities: · Drafting and reviewing/ editing documents such as (but not limited to): customer sales contracts, amendments, NDAs, contract renewals and expansions, and customer reorganizations for legal review· Managing contract clause libraries and contract databases.· Providing SCM input to stakeholders regarding contracting process and analyzing scopes of work to determine contracting strategy;· Drafting and preparing new commercial agreements, reviewing and revising executed agreements, coordinating change management activities, and assisting with contract renewals/closeout;· Developing and maintaining strong business relationships with internal and external stakeholders;· Performing activities to ensure vendors Enbridge health, safety, environmental and insurance requirements;· Working closely with Legal to review and draft non-standard contracts and manage the execution process both internally through Supply Chain Management and with Contract Owners and externally with vendors, ensuring necessary documentation is provided such as insurance certificates and WSIB documents;· Ensuring the Contract Management System is complete for all contracts and holds up to date;· Contributing to vendor management activities by ensuring prequalification requirements are met; and· Supporting leadership by providing periodic reports, conducting data analysis, validating vendor payments, and providing process/system improvement recommendations.· Finalize contract execution and prepare documents for corporate records retention by releasing them into Document Management. Maintain current record and repository of existing contracts.Main Requirements: · 7-10 years of relevant experience· Bachelor Degree (Business, Supply Chain, Sourcing or related Degree)· (Draft contract verbiage, Negotiates, Implements, Amends)· Specific knowledge and experience in contracting process and issues related to energy industry construction projects.· Demonstrated experience prioritizing conflicting demands from multiple business clients in an extremely fast paced environment.· Fundamental understanding of intent, context purpose and utilization of all documents typically included in or required by a contract.Skills: · Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Document Management, Contract Negotiation· A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of progressive business or legal experience related to role;· Proficiency with MS Office (Work, Excel, SharePointPowerPoint)· Proficiency with Power Advocate, ECMS, ARIBA, Oracle and ability to learn other IT systems independently· Proven communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and presentation skills, with influencing and persuasive talentsPreferred: · Enrollment in the Supply Chain Management Professional (SCMP) / Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) designation program or equivalent is an asset;Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contractContract length: 12 monthsBenefits:
