Job Description

This position is located at Internal Audit & Enterprise Risk Management Suite #943, 9925-109 Street Edmonton, Alberta T5K 2J8.Description:Under the direction of the Manager, Compliance, the Compliance Coordinator is primarily responsible for executing the annual compliance plan to ensure AHS staff is compliant with applicable policies, processes and legislation pertaining to Corporate Contracting, Procurement, Inventory and Warehouse Management and Surplus Asset Management. Results of compliance and internal control reviews will be documented and reported to Executive Management and the Audit and Risk Committee. The Compliance Coordinator is part of a team that has the responsibility for the following: Conduct timely reviews. Develop recommendations for resolving any non-compliance and work with operational management to ensure action plans and recommendations are implemented. Assist with the identification, documentation of key business processes, key controls and objectives through the use of risk frameworks. Develop criteria and test procedures to be used in compliance reviews. Assist with the development of sampling methodologies. Identify control weaknesses and inefficiencies in processes and make recommendations for possible remediation.

Required Qualifications:Post-secondary degree in Business or Accounting and a CPA or CIA designation. Strong audit skills. Three to five years experience in a related role.Additional Required Qualifications:Understanding of risk management. Proven problem solver, strong analytical, critical thinking skills. Effective communication skills (verbal and written) with a stakeholder-focused orientation and the ability to listen, understand and customize communications to the stakeholders’ benefit. Ability to establish and maintain, productive, and collaborative relationships with the team, and diverse stakeholders. Excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task. Demonstrate a clear pattern of professional and personal development. Strong commitment to excellence and attention to detail. Experience and proficiency using advanced functions in Microsoft Excel and Word.Preferred Qualifications:Understanding of Contracting and Supply Chain Management is beneficial. Familiarity with Oracle or other large enterprise systems Work experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. Experience in creating reports using tools such as Tableau and audit software such as ACL and TeamMate Plus would be beneficial.Quick Apply
