This is a 18 month position with the possibility of becoming permanent.This is a night shift position that has a paid and competitive night shift premium.The shift is Monday to Thursday: 5:15 PM to 2:15 AM and Friday: 4:15 PM to 12:15 AM. Key position functions include:Responsible for performing custodial duties, minor maintenance and other miscellaneous duties in order to ensure that building and facilities are maintained in a healthy, safe and sanitary manner.Daily duties:Empty waste baskets and dispose of trashDust and spot clean all furniture, including desks, chairs, tables, countertops, phonesClean entire desktops/countertopsClean and polish bright metalsClean and sanitize water coolersSpot clean reception glass including front doors and entranceSpot clean interior glass in partitions and doorsSpot clean walls and doors, sanitize door handles and light switchesLow dusting – all horizontal surfaces below shoulder heightCheck, change and refill as necessary all towel, soap, and toilet paper dispensersMaintain washroomsMaintain floors – sweeping, mopping, stripping and waxingWeekly duties:Sanitize telephonesVacuum officesMonthly duties:Wash all waste baskets (in rotation)High dusting - all horizontal surfaces above shoulder height Shop Floor - GeneralClean and polish water fountainsClean offices, change rooms, and lunch rooms as requiredWhen required assist with plant security (e.g. secure building: question strangers, lock doors, activate alarm, lock gates, power off equipment)OtherEnsure compliance with Stream-Flo Group Guiding Principles in terms of Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental regulations or policiesEnsure compliance with all applicable standards/proceduresOther duties assigned by Supervisor and/or designatePreferred candidates will possess a combination of the following qualifications:High School DiplomaMinimum 3 years of related janitorial experienceAbility to work well under minimal supervisionStrong attention to detailPhysically capable of lifting and moving objects up to 30 pounds as necessarySelf-motivated, able to prioritize and possess strong organizational and time management skillsAbility to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environmentStream-Flo offers a competitive salary, profit sharing and a comprehensive benefit program to prospective employees, as well as the opportunity to work in an entrepreneurial environment, characterized by continued growth and strong business results.We thank all applicants for their interest.
