Job Description

Job Description Senior Structural DesignerDescription: Reporting to the Drafting Manager, the Senior Structural Designer is an integral part of our drafting and design team.Responsibilities:

  • Create accurate 3D structural models.
  • Develop detailed structural drawings using Tekla.
  • Check and approve vendor-supplied structural drawings.
  • Support the structural checker as required.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate structural designers.
  • Create and maintain structural drawing standards.
  • Develop and maintain standard structural drawings.
  • Recommend improvements to processes and design efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience in vessel design and fabrication.
  • Proficient in the use of Tekla software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
  • Strong knowledge of structural fabrication processes.
  • Solid understanding of structural design principles.
  • Proficient in the use of Bluebeam Revu.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
