Job Description

Park Paving Ltd. is currently hiring for the position of SEASONAL DATA ENTRY.We have been locally owned and operated for almost 50 years as one of the largest road construction contractors in Edmonton, and we are looking for a seasonal person to assist with timesheet and accounts payable data entry. This is a great opportunity to gain some entry level accounting experience and potentially secure a return opportunity for the 2023 construction season.The primary duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Enter timesheets, and check posted entries for accuracy
  • Communicate with operations to resolve any problematic coding
  • Log your work to track completeness of data entry prior running a payroll
  • Help with filing
  • Assist with other accounting and admin duties for vacation relief purposes
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Preference given to someone with previous data entry experience who can manage a high volume of work while maintaining a high degree of accuracy
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • A strong operating knowledge of Office 365 including Microsoft Excel, and Outlook
  • A team-oriented outlook towards their colleagues both within and outside of the Accounting Department
  • Must be reliable, and able to work the entire remaining construction season (to approximately November 15th)
  • Hours are 8-5, M-F, and must be willing to work some overtime if required
COVID-19 Protocols:
  • This position is not able to work remotely
  • Personal protective equipment is provided and required
  • Social distancing guidelines in place
  • Sanitizing, disinfecting, and cleaning procedures in place
  • Compliance with AHS and OH&S guidelines are required
