Apply today and become a part of our exciting journey!Position Overview:LawDepot.com is currently expanding and looking to recruit a talented Database Developer with a strong emphasis on Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL expertise in Edmonton, Alberta. Working with the Information Systems team, you will play a critical role in enhancing current company databases and contributing to the development of innovative future database projects. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. Primary Responsibilities:Create, develop, manage, and optimize SQL Server-based database solutions for a large scale, eCommerce websiteDesign, refine, and tune T-SQL stored procedures, functions, triggers, and other schema objects to ensure data integrity, scalability, and securityCollaborate with software developers and cross functional teams to translate intricate data requirements into robust and efficient database designsApply industry-leading practices in analyzing query plans, diagnosing performance bottlenecks, and optimizing both programmability and storage objects for maximum efficiencyCraft effective, high-performing, and streamlined SQL queries and related database objectsContribute to database administration tasks, such as monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues, disaster recovery planning, system configurations, and strategic planning for long-term database stability and growthEnsure database architecture, procedures, and best practices is maintained and updatedKnowledge and Skill Requirements:Post-Secondary education in Computing Science or equivalent (ex. Information Systems Technology)2+ years of professional/academic experience developing T-SQL for Microsoft SQL Server or Microsoft Azure SQL DatabaseStrong proficiency in SQL, with an emphasis on the intricacies of the SQL Server engine and its performance tuningKnowledgeable in creating efficient Data Definition Language (DDL) and Data Manipulation Language (DML) SQL code for SQL ServerDemonstrable experience ensuring the security, integrity, and optimal performance of SQL Server databasesExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills The following knowledge would be considered an asset:ETL development and support (ex.
