Job Description

WE ARE EXPANDING OUR DISPATCH TEAM!Are you an experienced transport dispatcher Do you have the ability to work under pressure along with a knack for problem-solving while dealing with information from multiple sources If so, Apply Now!You are customer service oriented, well mannered, professional, detail oriented with advanced technical skills. If you are a people person, then we want to hear from you.The dispatcher will be responsible to coordinate the activities of our drivers, maintain communication with drivers and customers, and ensure all the necessary details are communicated to both parties in a timely and effective manner.Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Answer all lines and assist customers, drivers and other divisions.
  • Schedule assignments & coordinate activities of multiple drivers and equipment.
  • Monitor drivers check in’s/check out’s during shifts.
  • Accurately records and documents information from customers and/or drivers.
  • Process payments received (handling cash, Point of Sale machines).
  • Sorting and filing of documents, entering information into various systems.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally via email, telephone, and two way devices.
  • Perform any other general duties as assigned.
Required Skills
  • Previous Towing or Transportation dispatching is an asset.
  • Advanced skill level with software applications.
  • Ability to read instructions, follow written policies and procedures and take direction.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain concentration and mental alertness in a variety of situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment while maintaining great attention to details.
  • Knowledge of street and road systems in Edmonton and surrounding areas
WE ARE A 24/7 365 DAY A YEAR OPERATION. CANDIDATES MUST BE FLEXIBLE IN TERMS OF AVAILABILITY (DAYS, EVENINGS, WEEKENDS).Job Types: Full-time, PermanentBenefits:
