POSITION BACKGROUND: The Drafter is responsible for preparing drawings for the manufacturing of equipment to the specifications provided by Ketek and its clients. The Drafter must also coordinate with the appropriate departments and/or companies if engineering and/or outsourced processes are required. This position requires safe work practices at all times and that ISO 9001 Quality Management System guidelines are followed.CORE DUTIES: Project Design and Research· Work with Shop Manager, Shop Foreman and Projects Team to develop project workflow plan and tailor drawings to suit requirements· Provide drawings, with required dimensions and details, for bid/quote purposes· Collaborate with subject matter experts on design and building of prototypesDaily Operations· Responsible for the completion of all drawings as needed for a given piece of equipment, upon request by Ketek and/or its clients· Ensure that drawings meet Ketek/client standards and ISO 9001 Quality Management System requirements· Develop and review with client drawings and Auto CAD renditions as needed· Coordinate with other departments/ companies if drawings require engineering and/or outsourced processes· Complete required paperwork· Ensure drawings are revised with any changes, during or after completion of a project, and have drawings approved by client and/or supervisor· Responsible for maintenance of drawings including electronic filing and labelingOther duties· Visit site locations to measure and document parts and equipment· Successfully complete safety training as required on an ongoing basis· Ensure all Ketek work procedures, policies and Occupational Health and Safety Regulations are followed· Represent Ketek in a light that is commensurate with the values of Management and the Corporate Vision and Mission StatementsDuties, responsibilities and activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice.QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: Required

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Fluent in the English language (reading, written, spoken)
• Education in drafting and/or design and related software
• Knowledge of manufacturing and steel processes, with respect to design and drafting
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and frequent demanding deadlines
• Ability to handle changing schedules and priorities, with high level prioritization skills
• Strong work ethic and organizational planning skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

· Effective verbal and listening communication skillsPreferred

• Intermediate MS Office Skills (Excel, Word)
• Experience and/or knowledge of the oilfield and manufacturing industry
• Experience and/or knowledge of incinerators and steel skids

WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand/sit, talk/hear, use hands/fingers to operate a computer and telephone, stoop, and kneel
• Prolonged periods of sitting and exposure to computer screens

· Light to moderate lifting (up to 20lbs) may be requiredWork Environment

• Office environment (80%), field environment (10%), and shop/yard environment (10%)
• May be required to work weekends and outside of regular office hours
• May be required to visit remote customer sites/facilities
• Exposure to fabrication shop environment and associated risks, loud noises, arc flash from welding processes etc. which requires proper use of PPE

TRAINING AND COMPETENCIES: As per Ketek’s Training Matrix (G018).COVID NOTICE: As more client sites respond to the COVID-19 situation, requirements are growing for either proof of double vaccination status, or rapid testing to be performed every several days if not fully vaccinated. In most cases, the costs of rapid testing may not be covered by client sites, and will not be covered by Ketek Group.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentAdditional pay:
