We take pride in our employees and place a high-value on establishing a workplace where people are challenged and respected every day.Key ResponsibilitiesRead and understand site specific instructions prior to directing traffic.Review the work site on a daily basis and consult with Supervisor to understand work being conducted, and any potential hazards.Set up, reposition and dismantle traffic control signage.Protect workers and the public by keeping work space free of traffic, and warning oncoming traffic of potential hazards.Communicate effectively with other traffic control workers using established signals and radio equipment to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and minimize confusion.Maintain alertness at all times.Remove or cover all traffic control signage at end of day or when traffic control is suspended.Assist truck in accessing and exiting work sites and directing them where to dump loads.Assist with the set up and maintenance of project signage and barricades, including daily barricade reports.Assist with measuring work area for calculating quantities.Receiving, sorting, and filing haul tickets from delivery trucks.Must ensure a solid understanding of, and comply with the principles of the company’s Code of Ethics.Must examine situations in light of the principles of the Code of Ethics.Willing to work a 24 on, 4 off rotation scheduleWilling to work out of town and in remote locations, as required.Willing to work overtime, as required.Other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh-School DiplomaTraffic Control Training Certification, considered an assetMinimum 1-3 years of experience in construction traffic control is requiredE Construction is pleased to offer the successful candidate an attractive wage, comprehensive benefits, including a pension plan, educational assistance, excellent opportunities for professional growth, and more.We thank all candidates for their interest in a position with E Construction, however only candidates selected to move forward will be contacted.
