Job Description

eCommerce Data ManagerWe are currently looking to add a dynamic, motivated, and passionate individual to our corporate head office as a eCommerce Data Manager.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data management information systems or application development as well as the ability to lead a team of analysts. This person will be a natural leader and self-starter who takes initiative by identifying weak areas in data exchange, and gaps in data completeness and assists in upholding strong standards for our data integrity. Great communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are crucial characteristics, we want in our Data Manager.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITY

  • Leading our eCommerce data team (currently three Analysts)
  • Assigning responsibilities, goals, and metrics for measuring team success.
  • Directing team on how to improve data quality.
  • Identifying areas of inefficiency and offering suggestions for improvement.
  • Upkeep and maintenance of existing PIM (product information management) database(s).
  • Procurement of product data from manufacturers and third-party sources.
  • Marketing analytics as required.
  • Hands-on development and further enhancement of PIM solution (Filemaker Pro | Claris).
  • Assistance with the normalization of data populated into excel files.
  • Establishes and upholds data standards of integrity when importing/exporting.
  • Mapping of appropriate product information to relevant stock-keeping units.
  • Reformatting (in excel) of appropriate file attributes to match template files.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
  • Efficient time management skills including prioritizing, organizing, and planning effectively to meet goals and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated; able to function effectively both independently and as the leader of a team.
  • Proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills; ability to make quick decisions.
  • Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.
  • Talent to communicate professionally clearly and directly.
  • Attention to detail; ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information. Proficient in using a personal computer, data entry terminal, and other common office equipment and software.
  • Work effectively with other members of the team.
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
  • Filemaker Pro 18 Certification or later (Claris).
  • Degree in Management Information Systems.
  • Extensive Microsoft Excel experience.
  • Knowledge of management information systems (tables and relationships).
  • Experience in Filemaker Pro (FM19 | Claris) would be considered an asset.
  • Ability to learn ERP software.
  • Analytical thinker.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail-Orientated.
  • Independent worker.
  • Must be an effective communicator.
  • Appropriate training will be provided with regards to additional programs that may be required for the position
