You can edit to CP Style, and have experience with fact checking.We are looking for two Interns who will work on Odvod Publishing’s digital assets as well as assisting in the production of Edify’s print magazine. These are positions in our Edmonton office.As part of an Alberta Magazines program to promote Indigenous and Métis voices in our industry, one five-month (October 1, 2022 - March 31, 2023) position will be filled by a candidate who self-identifies as Indigenous or Métis.The second position is a nine-week internship (October - December) and must be filled by a candidate who is within three years of his, her or their graduation date from a post-secondary program that’s relatable to magazine work.QualificationsThe candidate must not have held a previous Intern position at any Alberta magazine through the Alberta Magazine Publishers Association program.The successful applicant will:Write posts, maintain the events calendar and assist in updating Edify’s website, as well as the Urban Affairs site that is also owned by Odvod Publishing.Meet the standards of the Edify and Urban Affairs brands; participate in engaging our followers on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter accounts and other platforms as needed.Help edit and coordinate our e-newsletters, that go out weekly to subscribersWork on Edify’s dining section, one of the most-read sections in print and onlineWrite articles and perform interviews as neededAttend editorial meetings and offer story ideasHelp create source lists for fashion and decor editorial shoots.Your résumé should be black type on a white document in a clear font.Deadline to apply: Sept. 15, 2022No graphics or charts or LinkedIn rankings of your capabilities should be included in your résumé or CV.
