Job Description

As an Editorial Marketing Manager at Janalta, you will learn about different niche topics — like B2B tech,— and what makes their professionals and enthusiasts “tick.”You will support our teams to ensure our content engages our readers and help the content team produce/edit copy with energy — the kind that jumps right off the page and demands to be read. You have a white-knuckle grasp on the English language and how to mold it to make our properties professional, approachable and informative.Finally, you’ll work with various team members to polish content that’s interesting, innovative and unique.Responsibilities

  • Support the editorial team by editing published or republished content, including fulfilling on-page SEO needs (e.g. keyword research, meta descriptions, summaries, takeaways, linking, and creating feature images).
  • Ideate, produce, promote, co-ordinate and run virtual events (e.g. webinars or panel discussions) on an as-needed basis with participants
  • Curate, create, and implement content curriculums (AKA “learning paths”) around a given topic on any of our properties.
  • Set up, review, and schedule/send emails for internal content promotion (e.g. newsletter or dedicated email)
  • Respond to reader inquiries, occasionally troubleshoot for users, and submit support tickets to our development team if additional help needed
  • Liaise and communicate with team members across our revenue, technology, and product teams.
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, Communications or similar area of expertise is preferred.
  • 1-2 years’ experience with editing and/or creating digital content.
  • Familiarity with AP style guidelines.
  • Proven ability to generate exceptional work under tight deadlines.
  • Prior success with editing content regarding topics you know little about. Even better, you also have experience in one of our content topics: B2B tech, Proven ability to effectively manage concurrent projects and deliverables.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a tight-knit team.
  • Ability to adapt to productivity and business tools and apps. Experience with the Google Drive suite, Zoom, Slack, Upwork, and content management systems (CMS) is a plus but not mandatory.
