We are looking for an expeditor that helps enhance the efficiency of business processes, particularly the delivery of materials, large industrial and food grade equipment and supplies for a large construction projectResponsibilities

• Expediting material and equipment through an ERP system
• Contacting suppliers to ensure all purchase orders are received and that shipments will arrive on time
• Work with different department to monitor inventory levels, assess supply vendors and ensure delivered supplies meet quality standards.
• Tracking and updating order inventory in our purchasing system to maintain accuracy of order history
• Escalating critical supply and demand deficiencies to key stakeholders
• Schedule regular follow-ups with vendors
• Notify the Purchaser of any order issues or potential delays and to resolve vendor issues
• Create and update deliverables schedules
• Provide reporting as required to the project team

Qualifications and skills

• Enrollment in an accredited Supply Chain Management program would be considered an asset.
• Use of an ERP system working ideally in an industrial work environment
• Minimum 2-5 years of supply chain experience, preferably in a project setting
• Must be able to travel to the job site
• A strong sense of urgency and effective follow-through
• Ability to Build and maintain positive relationships
• Ability to read and comprehend drawing packages
• Ability to analyze and interpret commercial issues and terms and use your problem-solving skills to reach solutions
• Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to accomplish assignments and meet deadlines
• Highly organized, with attention to detail and possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lead meetings
