Job Description and QualificationsAir Products Canada Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Air Products and Chemicals Inc., has manufacturing and distribution operations in Quebec, Ontario, and Alberta. Air Products core industrial gas business provides atmospheric and process gases serving a variety of customers in 50+ countries, including refining, chemical, gasification, metals, electronics, manufacturing, food and beverage, welding, and healthcare.Air Products and Chemicals, Inc., has an immediate opening for a Field Document Control Lead in the Edmonton (Alberta) region. With the growing complexity of the projects, explosion of data, and emerging of information technologies (IT), the document management principal support team has evolved from an administrative role to a focused directive requiring dedicated professionals. Individuals who have in-depth knowledge of the business cycle, importance of data flow, and technology requirements are critical to our success!One of the key enablers to our business growth is data-centric and document management with focuses on lifecycle data integrity and digitization to improve the execution capabilities of Air Products mega projects. A critical goal is to increase the Companys internal EPC execution efficiency by growing the organizations document controller capabilities and driving the full integration of document flow across functional organization. Air Products has a Build, Own, and Operate business model, from developing product lines, through EPC and Operations. The incumbent is charged with supporting the Field Document Control activities as identified to facilitate the Construction and turnover efforts.The roles objective is to manage, and ensure, accurate execution of all field document control activities as defined and within the established time frames. It is imperative to ensure the work processes established by the global document management team are followed and the regional requirements are met.The candidate must have shown experience in document management systems and technology applications that are broadly embraced by the project delivery organization. The candidate should have experience with in-depth knowledge of typical document management system workflow and be able to supervisor or direct other field document controllers on the project. They will work closely with the Lead Document controller for the Project and the entire Construction Team, to implement a robust work process, and drive efficiencies of the field document control team to implement established objectives.Principal Responsibilities:
