If you are interested in building global challenger brands, scaling a business, and working in a values-driven environment, we want to hear from you!The OpportunityThe BioSteel Field Marketing Manager is responsible for driving Biosteel consumer marketing efforts within a specific geographic area. This includes: the support, execution, and management of BioSteel’s marketing objectives, strategies, and philosophies; the creation, planning, and execution of marketing events and programs; the development and day-to-day strategic management/execution of a consumer education sampling program; and the development, integration, and execution of marketing strategies into the sales and distributor channel. The position objectives are to build BioSteel’s brand awareness & loyalty, create consumer trial and heavy usage for Biosteel products and create word of mouth to drive BioSteel product sales.ResponsibilitiesBuild BioSteel brand by developing and executing marketing strategies that includes: (1) Building and executing a Consumer Sampling /Education / Experience Program, (2) Support of key market events and programs, (3) Local Market Relationship development and leverage, (4) Development and ownership of local marketing plans and budgets with strong ROI and ROO (5) Partnership with market sales team to drive sales, distributor and retailer marketing integration to achieve market level sales goalsBuild and Manage a Consumer Sampling / Education / Experience Program

  • Drive liquid to lips through a best-in-class sampling & seeding program, utilising metrics / KPIs to drive brand awareness, ongoing sales growth, and program development
  • Actively recruit, train, and manage a team of BioSteel ambassadors to spread influence across the local community through meaningful brand interactions within relevant sporting communities
  • Develop and execute of targeted weekly consumer sampling, education and experience plans that drive product trial, awareness, and adoption
  • Work with partner agency to provide seamless day to day management of area BioSteel Ambassador Team within given budget
  • Work with BioSteel sales team to ensure program is supporting retail and distribution goals
  • Provide recaps and reports for to measure ROI and ROO of consumer education program
Event Support
  • Identify, support and execute activations at grassroots events in sports scenes that are relevant to the market, brand goals and targeted consumers
  • Add value to events through creative and collaborative activations that provide authentic, unique and meaningful consumer experiences
  • Establish and utilise best practices within event support than ensure qualitative approach to all brand touch points and consumer interactions
  • Integrate and leverage local events with sales counterparts to support local retail and distribution
  • Activate and leverage regional and national programs in conjunction with BioSteel sales & marketing teams as directed
Relationship Development
  • Develop & maintain relationships with local sport, media opinion leaders that are relevant to Biosteel Brand and to targeted consumers
  • Identify and build mutually beneficial relationships with other brands, organisations and networks that bring added value to the local marketing program
  • Work hand in glove with Biosteel sales & distribution teams to drive sales success across the region
  • Support Biosteel internal teams as opportunities identified
Planning / Strategy / Budget
  • Develop & manage strategic local marketing plan and budget based on national, regional, and local market objectives
  • Work in tandem with sales counterparts to ensure program integration in pursuit of shared goals
  • Collate and utilise program metrics to make informed decisions to guide and shape ongoing program management
  • Creates, implements, and manages systems for warehousing the product, assets and infrastructure required to support local marketing need
  • Manage field expenses and general administration
Sales & Marketing Integration
  • Identify & support sales opportunities
  • Build and execute local market-relevant trade programs that drive increased sales with local market retailers
  • Supporting & create programs that are integrated with sales and distribution partners and drive distribution and consumer sales
  • Actively participate in meetings with local sales team and distributors to align marketing & sales strategies and communicate best practices
  • Coordinate sampling team to secure distribution voids, and retail merchandising
Key DeliverablesHave a solid understanding of the influential sports scenes and communities that impact the local market and maintain strong relationships with key opinion leaders and organizations within them Integrate BioSteel into these communities in credible ways via support of relationships, events and programs that drive brand awareness, product trial, word of mouth and build brand image Deliver the execution of marketing programs that resonate brand objectives with targeted consumers Effectively integrate marketing efforts with sales team to drive consumer sales and meet sales objectivesKnowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Minimum 3 years of successful management experience
  • 4-year college degree preferred
  • Experience in Personal Training, Athletics and Fitness Trends
  • Experience in grassroots and brand marketing executions / event marketing
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of local market geography
  • Strong understanding of social media – Facebook and Twitter are a must
  • Exceptional communication skills, including presenting and training abilities
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Ability to build a team environment
  • Creative Thinker and the ability to bring ideas to life
  • Entrepreneurial personality
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Clean driving record
