Ledcor Employee Apply internally in Workday.DescriptionJob Summary:As the Finance Manager, Aviation you will serve as a business partner for the Aviation business leadership team, utilizing specialized financial expertise and business acumen to impact the strategic objectives of Summit Air and Summit Helicopters. The role will require intimate understanding of the business and collaboration with key stakeholders including Operations, customers, vendors, and internal Finance groups.Join the Ledcor Finance team in Vancouver, BC or Edmonton, AB!Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide business analysis, decision support, operational budgeting and forecasting oversight, and other analytical services to Divisional and business unit management
  • Understand and interpret issues and provide recommendations for best practices into financial processes that deliver accurate, timely and relevant information
  • Work collaboratively with other teams in Ledcor’s finance function including Aviation Management Reporting, specialized communities of expertise, and the finance service centre teams to ensure the timely and accurate production of financial reports and KPI’s
  • Lead an environment focused on continuous process improvement and customer service excellence
  • Solve complex problems involving either financial processes or operational challenges with a financial impact; will take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
  • Identify weaknesses in current processes that impact the efficiency, quality, and/or timeliness of deliverables, and collaborate with communities of expertise and finance service centre teams to develop improvements
  • Solves unique and complex problems with broad financial impact on various departments within the business, such as Maintenance and Flight Operations; requires conceptual and innovative thinking to develop solutions
  • Supports appropriate contract negotiations including review of key commercial terms
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant combined work experience within business support functions at medium or large companies
  • Would consider a CPA with management experience from public practice
  • Demonstrates critical thinking and the ability to apply business knowledge to ensure deliverables tell a consistent story
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work across various levels
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to deliver clear and concise direction and explanations on complex problems.

  • Confident, proactive, self- motivated, enthusiastic, goal and results oriented
  • Experience providing critical input to senior management regarding divisional performance, financial models, scenario planning, and other key strategic initiatives
  • Strong knowledge of financial modelling and related concepts
  • Experience with developing budgeting and forecasting models
  • Analytical thinking skills combined with the ability to find creative solutions
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: Excel, PowerPoint, JD Edwards, Hyperion or other large ERP systems and other analytical and modeling tools
  • Strong leadership skills to motivate, coach, and mentor team members

  • This is a work from home position with the understanding that from time to time you may be required to attend the office or the operations site as business needs require
