If you are someone who approaches work with passion, curiosity, and the courage to innovate, then this role is for you.DESCRIPTION:Reporting to the Supervisor, Fleet Services, the Fleet Specialist position is responsible for managing upfitting of new fleet assets and other repair activities, fuel management, vendor management and tracking information for all light, medium, and heavy-duty (NSC) vehicles. Coordinates, oversees, and is accountable for operational work with both internal staff and external vendors. Maintaining a strong focus on customer service and stakeholder engagement to ensure business needs are met across ATCO. Regularly deals with confidential fleet and driver information to support both Gas & Electric Utilities.WHAT YOU GET TO DO:Facilitates full life-cycle management of light, medium and heavy-duty vehicles from acquisitions and distribution (including licensing, decaling, and installation of accessories) through to disposalsEnsures all fleet vehicle information (assignments, location etc.) is tracked and maintainedEnsures annual registration & insurance is tracked, updated, and distributed (CVIP, Boom Inspection, Non-Destruct testing etc.)Set up appropriate annual vehicle inspection/certification records and take actions necessary to ensure complianceTracks spare, idle and surplus fleet; ensuring each is managed accordinglySupport business units reporting on new fleet, maintenance/repair, and fuel inquiriesProvide information on fuel data, idling data, and utilization reportingEnsures compliance with company vehicle policies and assists with development and implementation of new policiesResponsible for generating reports on health status of fleets, and other ad hoc reportingActively looks for gaps in vehicle & equipment related information and data and potential solutions to correct discrepanciesSolicits parts and service pricing in compliance with fleet contractsAssist in the maintenance of project invoice logs and accrualsElevates issues to management if/when necessarySupport vehicle telematics, ELD, and DVIR platformsDevelop and maintain strong vendor relationshipsWORKING CONDITIONS:Office based position, with some flexibility of working remotelyMay be required to operate a fleet vehicle for business purposesSome travel to various business unit sites may be requiredWHO YOU ARE:Post-secondary education in business or related field is requiredA journeyperson certificate in Automotive or Heavy Equipment would be an asset3-5 years’ experience working in a fleet environment with new fleet experienceKnowledge of light, medium and heavy-duty mobile equipmentExperience with IBM Maximo, ARI, Fleet Complete, and/or Big Road are an assetExperience with reporting and tracking using excel and Power BI is an assetEffective organizing, monitoring, and implementation skillsAbility to analyze financial and performance dataExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsWork collaboratively within a team environment, and maintain the ability to work independently to research and solve problemsHave a basic understanding of NSC guidelines, and their applicationsMust have and maintain a valid provincial driver’s license and clean drivers abstractMust successfully complete a criminal background check and pre-employment drug & alcohol requirementsWHAT WE OFFER:A culture based on caring, integrity, agility, collaboration, and striving for excellenceCompetitive compensationFlex benefitsTuition assistance programTraining and mentorship programsCharitable donation matchingWe would like to thank everyone for their application; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.CU Inc. is part of ATCO Ltd.
