Company DescriptionSodexo Searching for :Front Desk Attendant - Newcrest Red Chris Mines - (82912001)Rotation: 14days IN – 14 days OutShift: 10 hours per day – (may change upon the occupation of the site)Hourly wage: $19.25 per hour - based on a 10-hour shift (may change upon the occupation of the site)The work is at a remote location in a camp setting in Northern BC, the regular shift for this position is 14 days on and 14 days off, with 10-hour workdays. Flights are available from Calgary (AB), Vancouver (BC), Nanaimo (BC), Prince George (BC) and Smithers (BC), or transportation is provided to site from a pickup point in Terrace or Kitwanga. We are looking for a Front Desk Attendant to join our dynamic team. This position is a full-time role. You will be offered a great team environment, work/life balance and the ability to ensure customer satisfaction.QualificationsYou are a dynamic and reliable person with good communication and interpersonal skills. You are committed to quality assurance and safety.You will be attending training programs (classroom and virtual) as needed, comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures, perform all work in accordance with established safety procedures.Reporting to the Assistant General Manager, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Welcoming and providing introductory information to clients in a professional, courteous, and pleasant manner
  • Serving as the first point of contact for any inquiries related to site; either through email or phone
  • Managing the check-in, check-out process for clients; allocating guest rooms and issuing room keys
  • Ensuring accurate database entry for room bookings
  • Verifying inbound and outbound travel manifests
  • Processing cash and debit transactions, balance cash, complete balance sheets, cash reports and related forms
  • Assisting in the completion of reports in MS Excel and documentation in MS Word
  • Attending toolbox, safety, and other meetings
  • Experience working with Property Management Systems required
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as hotel guest service agent and/or administrative experience required
  • Experience in a remote camp environment preferred
  • Ability to work 10 hours shifts/day, 7 days/week, for 14 consecutive days
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Hospitality or Business/Office Administration Certificate or equivalent
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel); an aptitude for learning new computer systems
  • Excellent customer service, organizational, administrative, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take direction, follow instructions, multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
  • Solid keyboarding skills with the attention to detail to find and correct errors in documents
  • Cross cultural awareness with an understanding of the challenges associated with differences in cultural backgrounds
  • A team player who works respectfully and cooperatively with others
