Job Description

Employee Relationship:

  • Build a strong and positive team culture based on a respectful and engaging work environment with team members to build retention of employees and identify strong performers for advancement opportunities and succession planning.
  • Complete daily briefings with employees to communicate and disseminate information in a format that engages and includes employee input.
  • Training, coaching and mentorship of employees under your direction as outlined in Site Training and Evaluation.
  • Strength to provide guidance of team members and take immediate actions to address issues related to employee performance and conduct, including reporting and documenting any concerns addressed for further evaluation.
Client Relationship:
  • All requests for follow-up from Paladin replied to at earliest opportunity with an acknowledgement of an estimated timeline to complete.
  • Build a positive relationship with other third-party contractors including cleaning personnel, maintenance personnel, and contractors to the site
  • Review potential safety and security gaps and provide productive communication to Paladin Security Management on concerns and potential actions we can take to improve service delivery or safety standards.
  • Complete reporting requests, identify trends in activity, and proactively identify opportunities to improve service delivery
Site Training and Evaluation:
  • Meet with new officers assigned to site when on your rotation, and set working relationship and expectations to the site, evaluate their competencies, and provide feedback to Site Supervisor.
  • Ensure that team members are meeting expectations on training guidelines with new employees and complete Site Training Evaluation program to ensure training needs are met.
  • Ensure that recertifications are completed prior to expiration.
Occupational Health and Safety Program:
  • Engage team and promote the Paladin Security OH&S Program.
  • Ensure that reporting of Near Miss Accidents and Accidents are completed, and that documentation of the required Paladin Security and WCB paperwork is completed as required.
  • Complete requirements related to OH&S to the site are completed including risk assessments, monthly audits, monthly safety talks, and preparation for yearly COR audits.
Equipment and Uniforms:
  • Ensure that team members meet acceptable uniform requirements, and address uniform standards with those not in compliance.
  • Ensure that we have a contingency of uniform items to supply to new Agents
  • Ownership of care and control , and hold team members accountable for equipment
Other Site Responsibilities:
  • Work in conjunction with Operations Centre and PRC to ensure the scheduling of both long-term positions and short term requests are being actioned and filled
  • Work with site leadership to ensure that task responsibilities are fairly and equally shared between team members, and that work assignments are being completed to site standards.
  • Review of Agent patrols of key areas are being completed as per site standards, review patrols to ensure that all team members are meeting site standards, proactively review patrol routes to ensure that we are maximizing key areas of concern
  • Work with CSM / SPM on creation of communication documents to support security program to Property Management and Security Management client members as requested.
