Job Description

As a Furniture/ Appliance Delivery Driver, you will be reporting to the Regional Management Team. We need enthusiastic people with a great customer focused attitude! The winning combination of team spirit and desire for career focused growth will ensure a rewarding experience in one of our fabulous retail location!We are Offering $500 signing bonus paid after 14days on the job and $25hr starting wage! Bonus opportunities in the future are also a possibility based on performance.Responsibilities:

  • Perform pre-trip inspection of vehicle
  • Drive vehicle to Camrose or other towns close to Edmonton and do customer deliveries and drop product off at the local Brick location
  • Inspect and load and unload product
  • Lift and carry products into customers’ homes with no damages, and assemble as required
  • Perform in-home customer service including customer settlements
  • Document delivery status
  • Record information such as mileage, fuel costs, and any problems encountered
  • Complete driver check-in, including proper accounting of merchandise and invoicing
  • Complete damage reports
  • If time allows you may help move or set-up product in the Brick location
  • If time allows potentially pick-up, load and deliver non Brick related product
  • Keep the truck clean
Qualifications:
  • Delivery experience is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license (class 5 only is needed) ~ Graduated is NOT sufficient
  • Current Driver’s Abstract (no more than 2 moving violations in the past 12 months)
  • Ability to lift and carry heavy merchandise exceeding 50 lbs on a regular basis
  • High school diploma or equivalent would be an asset but not mandatory
  • Customer service oriented
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends, as required
  • Must pass a criminal background check sponsored by The Brick
