Were heeding the rallying cry for comforting homegrown classics, and answering the call for delicious beers, and staple meals from far & away.Home & Away Edmonton is looking for a General Manager to join their exciting company.The ideal person will have a sincere passion for hospitality and service, and a min of 2 years experience in a senior management position within a bar/restaurant environment. Strong knowledge of food and beverage is an asset. We are looking for an ambitious self-starter; someone who will take the initiative to grow all parts of the business as if it’s their own, and mentor the team to contribute to the strategic vision of Home & Away. They will feel confident in all areas of the business from Bar, FOH and BOH, to all parts of the service from lunch, happy hour, dinner and late night. The GM is ultimately responsible for ensuring the venue maximizes each guest experience from beginning to end.The GM will oversee the day-to-day operations of the restaurants including sales, operations, inventory, recruitment, and maintenance of the building and equipment. Additionally, the GM will be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales targets, expense budgets and attaining profitability in agreement with company policies.They will be required to prepare weekly reports for head office in compliance with accounting procedures, including but not restricted to; handling cash, credit cards, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and all other financial transactions.Lastly, the GM is responsible for hiring, mentoring and guiding the team to achieve success both personally and professionally.Skills/Qualifications:
