About you as the GIS Technical Account Specialist

• You use your years of experience with GIS software to create, maintain, and analyse spatial data (QGIS GeoMedia/ESRI)
• You are passionate about custom cartographic products, such as ownership map, map books, land use maps etc.
• You bring a comprehensive knowledge of database concepts (Geo-Databases, PostgreSQL and other), desktop/client-server/mobile/web-based solution components, system interfaces, data transfer and conversion strategies, and data processing solutions. · You regularly impress others with your experience using extract, transform, and load (ETL) practices in FME
• You excel at completing tasks and conducting QA/QC of data for implementation into MuniSight systems.
• You enjoy and are very capable of training and providing GIS support to our valued customers.
• You have a strong sense of urgency and pride yourself on delivering client’s projects on time and with high quality
• You have a keen ability to troubleshoot problems and provide solutions
• You regularly demonstrate your strong communication and presentation skills, and familiarity with project management

What you bring to the team

• A College or University degree/diploma in GIS related discipline is preferred
• Knowledge and experience of GIS mapping and FME is an asset
• A keen interest and experience in Municipal government, primarily in smaller, rural settings
• A track record of successful collaboration in a team environment and the ability to take and give feedback.
• A strong ability to empathize and listen to clients will be your superpower in this role
• Attention to detail with strong writing and communication skills
• Ability to effectively prioritize ongoing projects and tasks
• Project management experience is a plus
• Strong ability and willingness to learn
