With a visionary leader, a great team, and with the help of our fantastic suppliers and the love of our incredible customers, we have grown to a chain of 18 stores in the Edmonton and surrounding area.We use our extensive buying power to provide the most affordable health food products and pass those savings onto our customers.All of our staff are put through an intensive training regime including a “crash course” that involves lectures from experts provided by our suppliers, a tremendous amount of reading materials, sampling a wide selection of our products, and on the job training.Vitality Health Foods takes an extra effort to make sure that each of our staff have extensive product knowledge and are able to provide useful information to help our customers find the right health food products. We also provide numerous samples to our staff and encourage them to try a full range of our products so that they are always providing first hand knowledge.Vitality Health Foods is hiring for a position in Hawkstone Plaza (18326 Lessard Rd.)This position would be approximately 30-40 hrs/week. Shifts are in periods from 10am-6pm, depending on the day it can be 10am-7pm.This position will consist of interacting with customers to assist in product selection. Entering products into the computer, submitting orders for the store, and creating the monthly schedule.Experience in the retail and natural health industry is required.This position ensures that customers receive the highest possible service and assistance when selecting products. Product knowledge in vitamins, supplements, health and beauty products, essential oils, skin care products and sports nutrition supplements is required.Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service, helping customers with questions, locating items, and providing guidance on supplements, health and beauty, and other products.
• Maintains an in-depth knowledge of vitamins, supplements, and other health and beauty items in the department
• Ensures the displays are orderly
• Inventory management - Entering products into the system, preparing weekly orders, and restocking products
• Maintains safe, clean, and well organized working and shopping environment
• Must have good working knowledge of computers
• Friendly with customers
• We are looking for someone enjoyable to work with
• A pleasant demeanor, very patient when dealing with the elderly, are all qualities that are desired

Qualifications/Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent supplemented with college courses in nutrition or related field is highly desired
• 1-2 years of health product knowledge having worked in a Vitamin/Supplement Store considered an asset
• Strong knowledge of vitamins and supplements, and a passion for holistic health
• Clear and effective communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Ability to effectively manage in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work varied hours/days as business dictates, including evenings and weekends
• Previous work experience in Natural Health/Nutrition fields required
• Experience in customer service, especially in a retail environment is required

Job Type: Full-timeSalary: $15.00-$19.00 per hourBenefits:
