Job Description

Job DescriptionSummary: CEDA is looking for a Health, Safetyamp; Environment Advisor based out of our Edmonton location. This full time position reports directly to the HSE Manager and will also be providing support for shutdowns as needed.What we offer:

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provision of risk management support to achieve a common HSE program
  • Provide leadership for implementing and maintaining HSE programs/systems (Hazard ID, BBS, Site Reviews, Training etc.)
  • Liaison with clients, third parties, HSE and other internal clients with the provision of presentations to increase awareness of progress on HSE matters
  • Ensuring accident and incident investigations are conducted and events are reported in a timely manner
  • Responsible for the maintenance and development of HSE documentation
  • Auditing and monitoring as required in accordance with CEDA’s and our customers’ expectations
  • Support site, shop and project safety meetings by providing relevant information for use during the meeting and actively participating throughout
  • Identify HSE coaching opportunities throughout the organization, offer yourself as a HSE mentor and actively participate in improving CEDA’s Culture
Role Specifications
  • 3 - 5 years of Health, Safetyamp; Environment experience in an industrial or Oilamp; Gas setting is required
  • NCSO or OH amp;S certificate is required
  • Certified Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) is an asset
  • Working knowledge of related legislation and the ability to interpret the regulations and laws is an asset
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Valid Class 5 licence with no more than 5 demerits
  • Willingness and ability to travel to various sites within the Edmonton region is required
  • Able to provide an negative pre-employment Alcoholamp; Drug Test
