Job Description

Position Description: Healthcare Logistics Sales ManagerReports to: Director of Business DevelopmentLocation: Based out of Edmonton – Flexible dependent on CandidateBBE Expediting Ltd. provides freight forwarding & expediting services, supply chain logistics, distribution and procurement of goods, project staffing, and cargo handling services domestically and internationally. Built and perfected on experience developed during four decades in the Canadian Arctic, BBE is recognized as one of the leading suppliers of remote supply chain services across North America and around the world.We are seeking a committed team player for the role of Healthcare Logistics Sales Manager to ensure that BBE’s strategic sales growth targets and market position are achieved in pharmaceutical and healthcare distribution. To be successful in the role, you must embrace continuous learning to develop and strengthen relationships with clients to meet organizational goals through superior customer service and provide value by offering unique solutions to the challenges of shipping to remote and Northern locations in Canada.BBE’s VisionSupply Chain Partner, Networking the World.BBE’s Core ValuesIntegrity, Safety, Innovation, Excellence and ServiceDuties and responsibilities of the Healthcare Logistics Sales Manager include, but are not limited to:

  • Commit to BBE QHSE standards and integrate BBE values into everyday practices.
  • Contribute to and sharing of market intelligence: competitive, regulatory, prospects, existing customers, vendors (carriers or suppliers), partners.
  • Develops sales leads and nurtures opportunity to convert to sales, through management of sales pipeline and prospecting.
  • Providing potential customers and existing customers with value-based product and service offerings.
  • Contribute and participate in renewal negotiations with customers.
  • Achieving sales targets for yourself and supporting the team in doing the same.
  • Ensures healthy sales plan consisting of long-, medium- and short-term opportunities.
  • Attend tradeshows and events to support our customer relationships
  • Ensure knowledge remains relevant to requirements, developments, regulatory changes and other matters of influence on Logistics in the Pharma/Healthcare Industry.
Position Requirements:
  • 3-5 years previous customer service, sales and distribution experience, particularly in healthcare logistics or pharmaceuticals sector
  • Professional approach to customer relations
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent written/verbal communications
  • Maintains a professional presentation and image both in attire and demeanor
  • Continually seek and accept professional and self-improvement opportunities
  • Ability to establish strong customer centered commercial relationships.
  • Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, competitive and customer driven environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • University or Technical school degree in commerce, logistics or other relevant discipline
  • Commercial agreement management, negotiations and market development experience
  • Sales experience in logistics, healthcare and pharmaceuticals
  • Understanding of sensitive and regulatory requirements for healthcare/pharmaceuticals logistics (chain of custody, cold chain)
  • Familiarity with Northern /Remote Canada
