Job Description

ChampionX has an immediate need for a Heat Treat/Furnace Operator at the Alberta Oil Tool located in Edmonton, AB. This is your opportunity to join a growing company offering a competitive base salary and benefits.What’s in it For You:

What You Will Do:
  • Start-up and operate the Heat Treat Furnace
  • Assist in the tensile test process
  • Work collaboratively with the Nor-Peen operators to ensure proper flow of material
  • Assist Crane Operators as needed
  • Perform minor machine maintenance as required
  • Perform quality inspections
  • Complete all required paperwork, including, but not limited to, quality and cleaning plans
  • Work in a safe manner, follow all rules, regulations, and legislation
  • Follow Lean Manufacturing guidelines
Position Details:
  • Permanent
  • Full-time
  • Shift rotates every 3-4 weeks between day and afternoon shift (night shift may be required dependent on business conditions)
  • Weekends may be required dependent on business conditions
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Able to prioritize
  • Reliable
  • Attention to detail
  • Able to work in a hot environment
  • Able to work independently and work with others
  • Able to read, write and effectively communicate in English
  • Able to work overtime as required
Physical Demands
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Pre-employment testing including drug & alcohol, vision, auditory, background check and physical demands assessment required upon hire
  • Must be able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours/day
