We take pride in our employees and place a high-value on establishing a workplace where people are challenged and respected every day.We are looking for a professional and enthusiastic, permanent HUMAN RESOURCE ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, to work full-time in our Edmonton Office. The Edmonton office is conveniently located just off of the Anthony Henday ring road, on Edmonton’s East side.Summary: Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resource Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the organization of the HR Department. Supporting the HR Manager, the Human Resource Administrative Assistant will engage in a wide array of human resource activities, including, but not limited to recruitment and onboarding, file management, employee engagement activities and data collection. The Human Resource Administrative Assistant will act as a primary point of contact for field and non-field employees within the onboarding and recruitment functions.ResponsibilitiesAdministration:

  • Maintain employee HR personnel files
  • Enter employee data into HRIS system on hire date and into various employee tracking spreadsheets
  • Responsible for maintaining employee engagement functions
  • Gathering and sorting raw data for statistical purposes
  • Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of HR practices and developments within the organization
  • Input employee information into Payroll System (JD Edwards)
  • Ensure employee data is collected and maintained
  • Responsible for creating and publishing content on all social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, to grow an audience and build brand awareness
  • All other duties as required
Recruitment & Selection:
  • Prepare job postings and advertisements
  • Participate in the ongoing recruitment and retention of field level staff
  • Enter and maintain database of applicants for retrieval and review
  • Adhere to established recruitment policies and processes to meet corporate standards
  • Conduct employee background and reference checks when requested by management
  • Maintain records of all requisition, advertising, and recruitment transactions for statistical purposes
Requirements/Experience
  • Completion of Human Resources certificate or diploma program
  • Working towards, or interest in obtaining a Certified Human Resource Professional (CHRP) designation
  • 1 – 2 years of related experience
  • Ability to work overtime
