About the RoleReporting to the Vice President of People and Culture, the HR Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a key member of the People and Culture team whose primary role is to provide continual improvement and integrated HR solutions in line with Amii’s overall business strategy. Together with the organization’s People Leaders, the HRBP works on setting priorities, driving organizational values and delivering business results by being a people champion, a change agent, a strategic partner and an administrative expert.Working closely with all Amii team members, the HRBP ensures the successful delivery of HR programs and initiatives including the consistent application of policies and procedures; human resource planning; employee and labour relations; performance management; training and development; full-cycle recruitment; and the analysis and improvement of HR metrics.The HRBP needs to maintain an effective level of business literacy about each product unit’s plans, goals, culture and competition to be able to provide customer-focused, sustainable HR solutions.Required Skills / ExpertiseKey Responsibilities: The role focuses on achieving excellence in three main accountabilities:
  • Coaching and consulting leadership: Acting as a trusted advisor to empower leadership to manage people-related matters. Working together with leadership and team members to solve conflicts and help facilitate positive employee relations, maintain a good working environment, build morale, and decrease unwanted turnover.
  • Hands-on, day-to-day support of all HR programs and initiatives; this includes but is not limited to recruitment, training and development, employee relations, performance management and employee engagement events and activities. Plays a crucial role in ensuring that Amii attracts and retains top industry talent.
  • Being Amii’s employee experience champion: Implement HRM interventions on employee wellness, diversity and inclusion, and talent management to maintain positive employee relations, a good working environment and build morale.
Required Qualifications:
  • Post secondary degree in Human Resources Management
  • CPHR Designation is an asset
  • Minimum 5-10 years’ progressive experience in Human Resources Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues.
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including
  • full cycle recruitment
  • compensation practices,
  • organizational diagnosis,
  • employee and labour relations,
  • diversity, equity and inclusion,
  • performance management,
  • learning and development
  • and provincial employment standards
  • Knowledge of Alberta Employment Standards and Human Rights Legislation required.
  • Experience in leading projects and implementing new initiatives with a change management lens
  • Hands-on experience with Human Resources Management Software (HRMS)
  • Experience working in a technology organization is an asset.
  • Able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Well-developed consultative, coaching and negotiation skills
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of application
