Alien In-Line, Edmonton TeamInline Skating Instructors Wanted!Are you an active skaterLooking for an opportunity to make the lives of children more FUN Consider joining the Alien In-Line team!Alien In-Line is the most successful skating school in the world, and Canada’s leading school skating program, reaching over 100,000 students in over 325 schools annually through its programs.Alien In-Line’s head office is in Calgary, Alberta. The company is looking for energetic, independent, and motivated people to join our Edmonton Instructional Team to teach inline skating to school children in Edmonton and the surrounding areas. (Some overnight travel required)The successful candidates will integrate Alien In-Line programs into a school’s Physical Education classes. Skating instruction is provided as a complement to the regular PE curriculum within the school’s gym, or on a suitable outdoor surface.Instructors are also occasionally scheduled to instruct evening and weekend programs including private/small group lessons and Birthday Parties.Key Responsibilities: The instructor’s primary responsibility is the delivery of skating instruction in a school setting ensuring the highest quality of programming possible.Instructors are also expected to volunteer their time to participate in continual instructor education and training, that supports programming excellence. Instructors occasionally assist in the training of Alien In-Line staff and peer instructors.The instructor maintains a close working relationship with the Alien In-Line Program Manager and Alien In-Line Instructional Manager as well as other aspects of the management team within the organization to ensure the continued success of our mission. Our mission statement is: To provide a world class level of instruction and experience to a development level of participant.The instructor will be responsible for organizing, inspecting, and performing minor maintenance on all inline skating equipment provided by Alien In-Line for client use. This includes but is not limited to; equipment laundering, equipment transportation, loading and unloading and accounting for all company equipment before and after each session.The ideal candidate will be someone who: · Has strong skating skills such as; hockey, ringette, speed skating, aggressive inline, skate park, pathway skating or urban skating.· Loves working with children of all ages, instructing Classes K-12 and private lessons of all ages.· Is positive, collaborative, and has an abundance of energy.· Has had experience working with children at summer camps, community programs, or sport instruction.· Possesses strong interpersonal skills· Is confident working independently· Has a full class 5 valid/active driver’s license· Has access to reliable transportation· Is punctual and has excellent time management skills.· Can provide a clean Criminal Record Check through a Vulnerable Sector Check upon hiringPlease including details on your skating background and a one page cover letter detailing why you believe you are an ideal candidate for our exciting and impactful inline skating instruction team.Work remotely: NoJob Types: Full-time, Permanent September 6, 2022 - June 30, 2023Training June 16-23, 2022, Edmonton and Surrounding AreaTraining June 28-30, Calgary HeadquartersWage: Instructional time = $32.00/hourEquipment movement and maintenance = $16/hoursCOVID-19 considerations: https://alieninline.com/disinfection/Deadline: Application closing date is Monday, June 13, 2022Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From $32.00 per hourSchedule:
