Job Description

MatrixHR is currently recruiting for a Red Seal Instrument Technician to join an exciting project and company located in Fort St John BC.Pay Rate: $45 - $50/hr.Shifts: Day Shifts, 10 hrs per day.Please Note: This is located in Fort St John, BC. Relocation assistance is NOT providedAbility to handle projects by doing paperwork, redlines, ordering materials.Good communication skills with other colleagues and clients.Packaging safety documents for project handoff.Truck and tools will be supplied by client when needed.Qualifications:

  • Bidding and Pricing experience is an asset.
  • Ability to self-manage and lead others effectively.
  • Takes priority with safety.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check AND a drug and alcohol test.
Tickets required:
  • H2s.
  • Red seal instrument ticket.
  • First aid.
  • Fall pro.
  • Confined space.
  • CSO.
Duties:
  • Perform routine maintenance and calibration of instruments and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with instruments, identifying and resolving problems.
  • Fabricate, install, and repair instrument systems as needed.
  • Conduct inspections to detect any malfunctions or abnormalities in instruments.
  • Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to ensure proper functioning of instruments.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude for working with instruments and equipment.
  • Ability to detect and diagnose issues with instruments effectively.
  • Experience in fabricating, installing, and repairing instrument systems.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems and components.
