When in the candidate zone, you will be able to see your previous applications for both IBM and Kyndryl.For further information on privacy, please visit www.kyndryl.com/privacy.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThis role is for a System Administrators who support Intel/VMWare server platforms, primarily at the Windows/ESXi OS level, in providing day to day (problem/change), security compliance, and project support for a commercial account.This includes:

  • Problem Management - response, analysis, determination, resolution, root cause analysis, and on-call off hour support.
  • Change Management - plan, schedule, create, execute/implement, and understanding of the process and tools.
  • Server Backup/Restore support.
  • Security compliance - APAR patching, User ID management, health check remediation, server build/hardening, and audit support. Patching RCP
  • Update/upgrade OS by requests and all related works and reporting pkgs update for the production servers and was in the on-call rotation as well
  • Managing our ticket queues, such for Service Requests/Change Management and incidents
  • Follow up managing subscription for servers in all tiers
Required Technical and Professional ExpertiseIntel server architecture and technologies (Dell/HP/Lenovo preferred)
  • Windows server OS (32 and 64 bit) versions 2008 to 2019
  • MS Active Directory, group policy, security components
  • VMware ESxi environments versions 6.0 and higher
  • Experience in working with complementing support tools/applications such as; AntiVirus software (Trend Micro or Symantec); Monitoring tools, Backup and recovery tools (TSM)
  • Must demonstrate excellent organization and communication skills. ITIL Foundation knowledge
  • Proficiency with Problem and Change Management
  • Proficiency with MS and VMWare patch tools
  • On-call 24x7 rotation
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience
  • Knowledge of Ansible
  • Knowledge of Azure Cloud Fundamentals
