Job DescriptionCASUAL INSTRUCTOR, ACADEMIC UPGRADING ABORIGINAL STUDIES 30FACULTY OF SKILLS AND FOUNDATIONAL LEARNINGNorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for anInstructor dedicated to making a difference to join our Faculty of Skills and Foundational Learning team as a daytime casual instructor. We are looking for an Instructor to teach Aboriginal Studies 30.HOW YOU #39;LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE:Engage learners in the co-creation of knowledge through teaching and learning upgrading courses based on Alberta Education high school curriculum.Deliver course instruction in face-to-face or online settings.Plan, prepare, and facilitate learning through materials and instructional practices that are in alignment with universal design principles and college values of anti-racism and inclusivity.Evaluate the learning outcomes and experience of students through authentic and relevant assessments.Attend to student and program records in accordance with College requirements.Potentially serve on College committees that support the institutional strategic direction.Share your knowledge and expertise and learn from your colleagues in faculty and staff meetings, professional development workshops, and other College functions.Actively engage lifelong learning by staying current with developments in your profession through participating in professional organizations and conferences.Use applicable educational technology such as Moodle and PeopleSoft.Communicate with faculty and management as needed.WHAT YOU BRING:Bachelor of Education Degree.If your education was received internationally we recommend you obtain an international education assessment through IQAS, WES, or one of the other nationally designated organizations. This is a casual position, which includes an additional 11.2% in lieu of vacation and benefits.This is a Faculty role therefore the pay range is quite large, theagreement outlines how pay is determined.
